Vodka and VH1, And Mad Men and Mom: A Few Of My Favorite Things
I'VE HAD A CHANCE to do some reflecting in between Mad Men DVR marathons and boozing, and I’d like to share with you, dear readers, what I’m most thankful for this year.
First off, I'd like to thank my mother for creating the bundle of awesomeness you all know as Miz J. Thanks, Mom. Your constant calls to my work line and forwarded God emails have not gone unnoticed, just unanswered and unopened. (Hey, I’m busy at work. I talk to her A LOT when I’m at home, people. A LOT).
Next, I’d be nowhere if it weren’t for the cornucopia of celebrity gossip that I get from the world’s most colorful and delightfully obnoxious cable channel, VH1. Watch celebrities do magic tricks, pretend they’re looking for love and go to rehab! Coming up next, Celebrity Dental Exams! You know I’d be front row, center, for that one – mostly because I have no shame or taste.
Also, I’d like to thank my lucky stars for winning two tickets to see the NKOTB last month. You guys have no idea how much that rocked my world. I’d also like to thank Jordan Knight for becoming mind-bogglingly, shirt-tuggingly, nail-bitingly, smokin’ fucking hot. Holy crap, that man’s got the Right Stuff.
Lastly, and this is a biggie, I’d like to thank Long Island for their delicious version of iced tea, which is way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the stuff I get at my grandma’s.
In conclusion, I hope you all have a delicious Thanksgiving and are able to spike the cranberry crap with a little vodka to liven things up.
